Vista Task Force
In an effort to help Penn State community members determine the right time to move to Vista, an ITS Vista Task Force committee was formed in March 2006 to test the early and later releases of Windows Vista. The committee was formed to assess how the system works, to evaluate what hardware is needed, and to determine possible challenges for adoption at Penn State. Since then, ITS staff has been working with Microsoft in their official Vista Technical Beta program to ensure compatibility with Penn State ITS services. Throughout the process, the evaluation team has established plans for Vista testing and support with various Penn State business applications in addition to the standard suite of ITS-supported applications.
To better communicate our findings across all IT at Penn State, the ITS Vista Committee has created a Vista wiki for Penn State professionals to share their application testing. Your shared test results will help us make a more thorough recommendation.
